Volunteers & Interns

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community while having fun and learning new things. And, you don’t need a green thumb. While knowing something about gardening helps, you can choose from many different areas to make your contribution.

Our highly qualified team includes experts who are experienced and love to share their knowledge.  If you have ever wanted to learn more about plants and animals, we have the perfect environment to do so!  We strive to promote  an equitable and inclusive team as well as a positive work environment.

If you are an FGCU student and are interested  in volunteering, we offer opportunities in civic engagement projects, semester-long service opportunities, & periodic work days.

Please email education@wondergardens.org for more information BEFORE completing a Volunteer Application.

Wonder Gardens also offers internships in animal care, horticulture, & education during Fall, Spring, & Summer semesters. Internship commitments are 13 weeks & a minimum of 135 hours. Intern job descriptions for all areas are linked below.

Apply for an internship by completing the Intern Application and send it, your resume, & a cover letter to education@wondergardens.org
