wHAT IS AN ANNUAL FUND?
The Annual Fund is comprised of all the unrestricted gifts the Wonder Gardens receive during the calendar year. Throughout the year, we send out proactive appeals for unrestricted donations (A Spring Appeal, a Giving Tuesday appeal in November and a year-end giving solicitation in early December).
Collectively, these represent our ‘Annual Fund Campaign’. However, other unrestricted gifts received during the year, referred to as Annual Gifts, are also added to the Annual Fund.
why does an annual fund maTTER?
Memberships and guest fees do not pay the full cost of running the Wonder Gardens. Annual Fund gifts are used to cover essential operational costs (e.g.: high quality animal care, essential gardening of our horticulture/ botanical collection, etc.) and can also support unbudgeted maintenance, repairs, and exciting new program opportunities. The Wonder Gardens has several new projects in the works, which means our overhead costs continue to increase.

To keep up with current and future growth, we are asking those who believe in the importance of the Wonder Gardens and its impact on the quality of life in SWFL to make an unrestricted gift annually. Gifts of all sizes make a positive impact.

Unless anonymity is requested, all donors will be eligible for recognition in the Annual Report, The Wonder Gardens website, and the video boards in the Welcome Center.
